Whale watching in Tenerife Really relaxing and enjoyable trip. Thomas was excellent as our guide, very friendly, knowledgeable and great with all the kids (and adults) on board. And to top it all we saw pods of spotted and bottlenose dolphins as well as a family of short-finned pilot whales.

We have visited Tenerife twice this year, in June and October. We contacted Kim from Tenerife First Excursions back in June who organized the Catamarran whale and dolphin trip for our family and friends. The trip was amazing ! the whales and dolphins showed off in front of the boat to oohs and ahhs from us all. We enjoyed it so much that we contacted Kim again this month and she booked the trip for us a 2nd time. Thank you Kim ! we absolutely loved the trip and can't thank you enough for all your knowledge of the island and all the advice you gave us on all the trips ! We will be returning as soon as we are back !

Respectful, passionate and full of knowledge Our captain ‘Guy’ was pleasantly crazy but very respectful to us and most of all the ocean’s wildlife. It seems to be a bit of a rat race of yachts and catamarans for the first sighting before heading off to snorkel. But we decided to take our time, minimize engine use and luckily saw a baby dolphin and some pilot whales, all from a distance safer to them. Guy told us a lot about the island, was extremely passionate about ocean life and our whole eco system. We went on the 4pm trip and were ready to come in, but would have loved a longer trip if budget and time allowed. Be mindful that you may not get a sighting and proactive about communicating what you’d really like out of your sailing.

Self drive boat - 3 hour trip This is definitely worth booking! If we came back again to Tenerife we would definitely go again. The instructions for the boat are very easy to follow and the hosts were lovely people. They also provided a speaker, various swimming equipment (snorkels, flippers and underwater jet etc) as well as snacks, water and a cool box for your own use which we found was a very nice touch! Would definitely recommend buying and taking sea sickness tablets before you go however, as the sea is unpredictable especially in such a small boat. This is obviously no fault of the company and we still had fun none the less! Thank you guys!
