Respectful, passionate and full of knowledge Our captain ‘Guy’ was pleasantly crazy but very respectful to us and most of all the ocean’s wildlife. It seems to be a bit of a rat race of yachts and catamarans for the first sighting before heading off to snorkel. But we decided to take our time, minimize engine use and luckily saw a baby dolphin and some pilot whales, all from a distance safer to them. Guy told us a lot about the island, was extremely passionate about ocean life and our whole eco system. We went on the 4pm trip and were ready to come in, but would have loved a longer trip if budget and time allowed. Be mindful that you may not get a sighting and proactive about communicating what you’d really like out of your sailing.

Really helpful Many hanks to Sarah who helped us with this trip. We needed a calm boat due to recent surgery so she suggested the catamaran. We plumped for the 4.5hr trip and were not disappointed. She also told us how to get there and back and where to get taxis and buses from as we were too late for their transport, but it wasn’t a problem. The trip itself was great. Beautiful scenery, pilot whales, dolphins and flying fish and a chance to swim in the sea.

Intimate boat for a family-friendly outing The cruise is on a small, intimate boat so we got up close and personal with the many dolphins that we saw. Once we found a huge pod of dolphins, the captain stopped the boat and we were able to just hang out for awhile as the dolphins frolicked around us. My family and I couldn’t wipe the smiles from our faces if we tried! We also caught sight of a couple of whales which was just such a bonus. The cruise includes a sandwich but this isn’t really needed. I think a small offering of nuts/meats/cheeses would have been fine or even no food at all.
