Description

Submarine Safari in Tenerife

Climb aboard a real submarine at Amarilla Marina and prepare for one of the most unique experiences in Tenerife.

As the submarine gently descends to 30 metres (100 feet) below the surface, you’ll discover an entirely different world. Through the large viewing ports, you’ll watch schools of colourful fish swimming around the submarine, explore fascinating shipwrecks resting on the seabed, and learn about the marine life that calls Tenerife’s waters home.

The submarine is fully air-conditioned and maintained at normal atmospheric pressure throughout the dive, making it a comfortable experience for everyone.

Each passenger has access to a large viewing window, ensuring everyone enjoys spectacular underwater views throughout the journey.

A multilingual audio guide provides interesting commentary during the dive, while onboard screens display your current depth and sea temperature as you descend beneath the Atlantic.

One of the highlights is when the submarine settles briefly on the seabed, giving you a fantastic opportunity to take memorable photographs with the pilots in the cockpit.

After your dive, you’ll receive your own personalised dive certificate to remember your underwater adventure.

Well worth it. Really enjoyed this trip. First went out to area to watch for whales and dolphins. We were lucky enough to see a few lone pilot whales but the highlight was a mother and calf that came through and surfaced twice. No dolphins but hey, this is mother nature, feel privileged to see what we did. Next off to a bay for a swim and snorkeling. There were fish around the boat but not a coral reef type, not spectacular but interesting. Food while not luxury was good, filling and plentiful. Drinks, soda and alcohol, on demand throughout. The guide was informative, friendly, caring when one youngster got sea sick and slightly eccentric in a good way. One of the highlights was him stood at the rear of the of the boat, arms in the air with a piece of chicken in each hand and all the local gulls swooping in to be feed. Laughed too much to get a photo sorry. Definitely well worth taking this trip.

Mike and Ross at Tenerife First Excursions are absolutely fantastic - they are both friendly and professional.

Both Mike and Ross speak perfect English and Spanish. They really do their best to find fun activities at fair prices. I'm delighted with the customer service experience.

I'd also like to give a special mention to Matty for being a great manager. Matty always prioritises customer satisfied, so I am confident that if you book an activity through Mike, Ross or Matty, you will have a lot of fun at a fair price with a positive customer experience.

I will definitely come back to Tenerife First Excursions when I am back in Tenerife!

Lovely little 3hrs trip. Lovely 3 hr trip from Porto Colon. The price even includes pick up from most hotels in the resort. (Or a short walk to your nearest one or make your own way there). Lovely few hours sailing out to sea and looking at the marine life. We were lucky enough to see lots of pods of pilot whales and dolphins very close to our boat. Includes a short stop off for about 30 mins at a little beach area where everyone can jump off the back of the boat to cool off. Ham and cheese Sandwich each and unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks. Only thing I would like to see improved is a reduction in the smell of diesel in the port. It’s overwhelming!! In our group of 7, 1 was a little seasick. But the staff were very attentive- spraying her with cold water and cooking her down.

Agradable experiencia. Buena experiencia.

We booked a 4.5h whale + dolphin watching tour through TFE, and Sue was very helpful with all the details. The tour ended up happening via Freebird catamarans (dunno if directly or using their boats), and I was a little skeptical since there were old reviews of bad experiences, but our trip was very pleasant. We managed to snag one of the first sunbeds (first come basis when you board the boat for 25EUR, very much recommend this), so we got to enjoy a beautiful view of the island and Los Gigantes, and a ride on the waves. The captain said the ride is a bit choppy, but it didnt seem too bad - all our stuff stayed in place, just make sure to put something heavy on your towels if you get up so the wind doesnt blow them away. We were served a nice rice+chicken lunch, and had access to free drinks. The crew entertained us with excellent music selection, and on the way back we managed to watch pilot whales for about 20 minutes, quite close at times (captn said 99% chance of seeing whales when we went in November). Our only "complaint" is that we wish more time was spent with the animals, but I think we just need a different tour for that - this was 90% relaxing, sightseeing, and swimming (which we still thoroughly recommend)
